The Regency of today has been shaped by its history of innovation and growth.
Originally founded in the 1950s as the Myndall Cain Beauty Academy, the school was renamed Regency Beauty Academy in the 1980s.
The early 2000s were marked by a period of rapid growth driven by former management consultant and investment banker Hayes Batson, who purchased Regency in 2002 and renamed it Regency Beauty Institute. He envisioned an innovative approach to cosmetology education and began laying the foundation for the Regency of today.
Regency continues to reinvent education to meet the learning and lifestyle needs of today’s cosmetology student. Focused on great teaching, Regency’s network of 88 campuses are places where a new model of cosmetology education creates successful students and “salon-ready” graduates who are committed to defining the next generation of beauty and elevating the profession of cosmetology.
