This year at KDWB’s annual holiday bash, concert-goers had a little extra help looking glamorous. Regency Beauty Institute students and graduates manned hair and makeup stations at the Jingle Ball pre-party and decked guests out in glow sticks, lip gloss and glitter hair spray galore. Our licensed graduates created hairstyles from updo twists to curls that bounced higher than the crowd when the first artist took the stage at the main event.
Energy was high at the pre-party before one of the most-anticipated holiday concerts in St. Paul, MN, but skyrocketed when Fifth Harmony and Austin Mahone each took the stage to perform. They even answered a few audience questions before the main event.
The line-up at KDWB’s Jingle Ball included Fifth Harmony, Austin Mahone, Robin Thicke, Ariana Grande, Fall Out Boy, Enrique Iglesias, Flo Rida and Miley Cyrus. From Robin Thicke performing one of the summer’s hottest songs to Pete Wentz’s guitar riffs, there’s no doubt the opening artists packed as much power as the headliners.
Besides sets that got the crowd singing, we saw plenty of spirit from holiday sweaters to guests dressed as Miley and Robin Thicke during their performance at the VMAs.
Pre-party guests even had the chance to text and win a backstage meet-and-greet with the “Wrecking Ball” singer herself during the show.
Some tickets to Jingle Ball sold for up to $4,000, but for winners Elise W. and Elena K. the chance to meet one of the most talked-about pop starts of 2013 was priceless.
