Regency campuses all across the country got into the holiday spirit with food drives for local food banks.
Eight Regency Beauty Institute campuses rallied students and staff to contribute canned food and nonperishable items this winter. Donations were made to local food shelves, food banks and students in need.
The campuses were:
- Akron, OH
- Dayton, OH
- El Paso, TX
- Hoover, AL
- Lakewood, CO
- Mesa, AZ
- Mesquite, TX
- Tolleson, AZ
The Mesquite campus collected about 40 pounds of food donations, and the Akron campus filled three large boxes with canned food.
“The students at the Akron campus dug deep and the boxes were over flowing,” said Akron campus manager Michelle C.
The Tolleson campus was able to donate more than 800 nonperishable food items to its local food pantry, according to Dawn V., Tolleson’s campus manager. Many of the campuses’ student council members led the way in the food drives and encouraged students to donate.
“The students enjoyed finding a need within our community that we could, as a school, passionately support,” Dawn said.
The student council at the Tolleson campus was able to turn the drive into a friendly competition for the students, which motivated students to donate more. Regardless of the fundraising approach, the students and staff at all the campuses were able to show their exceptional generosity and made a difference in their local communities during the season of giving!
