Students at the South Bend campus give back with local blood drive.
The blood drive ran from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18 and benefited the South Bend Medical Foundation.
The idea for the blood drive came from South Bend educator Patty W. when she saw a flyer for the South Bend Medical Foundation. After contacting the foundation, campus manager Cassie R. said the drive seemed like a good fit for the students.
“Students were really excited about it,” Cassie said.
The South Bend Medical Foundation provided snacks to the donors and spread word about the drive in the local community.
The campus had 157 donors signed up for the event. Students, educators and Regency Beauty Institute® guests came to help. New faces from around the community came out to show their support and donate.
“People [stopped by] that have never been here before,” Cassie said.
The drive gave the campus the opportunity to give back to its community and let people know more about the education and services offered at Regency.
“It’s our way of giving back,” Cassie said.
