Beauty School Accreditation & Financial Aid

Cosmetology School Accreditation Means High Standards

Each Regency Beauty Institute campus is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS). NACCAS is an independent and nonprofit accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE).

That’s important because accreditation helps ensure you are getting a top quality beauty education and makes it possible for Regency Beauty Institute to offer federal financial aid to those who qualify.

Accredited schools can offer federal student aid to those who qualify

Not all beauty schools have gone through the expensive and time-consuming review process to become accredited. Therefore, if you are considering other beauty schools, it’s important to ask about their accredititation because there are several significant advantages to attending an accredited beauty school:

Financial Aid

Attending an accredited beauty school opens the door for you to participate in federally funded and state entitlement programs. Only accredited schools that are recognized by the US Department of Education can offer state and federal financial aid.

Transfer of Hours1

Attending an accredited beauty school can help facilitate the transfer of hours, should that become necessary, because the receiving school will know that the hours were earned in a program that met the standards of quality set by the accreditation organization.

Employment

Graduating from an accredited beauty school can also make you more competitive in the job market; some employers prefer to hire cosmetologists who graduated from accredited schools because these employees were trained under nationally established standards for cosmetology education.

As you might expect, NACCAS has high standards. We work hard to ensure our campuses meet the accreditation standards in order to provide you with a quality education. But given the payoff for you, we consider it a small price to pay.

More information about accreditation can be found on the DOE Website.
