MINNEAPOLIS, MN, 8-13-2013 — Regency Beauty Institute will offer free haircuts for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade to help parents save money this fall. The special runs August 12 through September 15.

Cosmetology schools like Regency Beauty Institute, with 88 campuses nationwide, offer shoppers a chance to update their styles without spending excessively. The offer comes on the heels of last year’s record back-to-school spending that has left shoppers reconsidering their purchases this year.

Eight in ten shoppers say they will adjust their planned back-to-school spending due to economic conditions, according to the National Retail Federation’s 2013 Back-to-School Survey.

“Even something as simple as paying for highlights from a high-priced stylist can nudge a family’s tight budget over the tipping point,” said Sabrina Miller, manager at the Regency Beauty Institute campus in Spring, TX.

Regency Beauty Institute offers an economical and equally stylish option.

“Our students’ work is of such a high caliber, guests can’t believe they’re still in school. In today’s economy, it’s a fantastic way to save money,” said Karen Yeats, manager at the Regency Beauty Institute campus in Minnetonka, MN.
